Our mission is to connect residents and visitors with the story of the 1913 Lincoln Highway.
In collaboration with the Bedford County Historical Society, the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor is hosting a new exhibit, On the Home Front. This exhibit focuses on the Civil War and Bedford County's participation via a number of storyboards and memorabilia. Viewing this exhibit is included in the admission fee to the Lincoln Highway Experience, from November 16, 2020 through January 18, 2021.
The Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor is celebrating our 25th anniversary ALL year long. Travelers along our 200-mile Corridor will see these Abe cutouts attached to all our roadside signs. For other Special Events, click the What We Do tab above.
Our current need is to replace the 31-year-old roof on our 1815 National Register - listed Johnston House. (We've already patched it twice.) We need to do this replacement, not only to protect the historic structure, but to prevent damage to our exhibits and archives.
